1349 Perform Live in Sofia for the First Time – Photo Gallery
1349 live in Bulgaria for the first time—an important moment for extreme metal fans across the country. On May 16, 2025, the Norwegian black metal pioneers played a long-awaited show at Old Skulls Club in Sofia. The concert was part of The Wolf and the King Eastern European Tour and was organised by Perfect Storm Events. The event also featured strong support from The Ruins of Beverast, Vitriol, and Sarcator.

Desolate Media was on-site to cover the concert for Werock.bg, and the full photo gallery is now available here.
This night was special not only because it marked 1349 live in Bulgaria for the first time, but also because each support act performed in the country for the first time. Germany’s The Ruins of Beverast opened with a set full of atmosphere, blending black and doom metal. Next, Vitriol from the USA delivered a tightly executed, technically intense death metal performance. Finally, Sweden’s Sarcator kicked off the evening with high-energy black/thrash metal, clearly influenced by classic sounds.
A crowd of passionate fans filled the venue. This strong turnout highlighted the rising demand for international extreme metal acts in Bulgaria. The energy in the room stayed high throughout the night, making it a standout event on the local metal calendar.
